Victor Victoria // Echo Park Film Center Super 8 Class (2018) // I was named after My grandfather Victor Who passed before I ever got the chance to know him. When WE Discovered His 16mm home movies, it was a profound moment for me—watching his films, flipping through his 35mm slides, Realizing he was just as passionate about film and photography as I am. I instantly knew my film for this class would pay homage to him and how this medium can bring people together, even after they're gone. I exhibited Victor Victoria by dual projecting his home movies in 16mm alongside mine in Super 8 and felt closer to him than I ever had before.
